# Change server version

We offer a version installer which allows you to quickly change your server's version.

To get started, head over to the [Game Panel](https://game.lodestone.host) and select "Advanced" on the sidebar menu.

A box titled "Install Different Edition" will be shown, and from there you can configure the server version you wish to install. Once done, click "Install Different Edition" to process the change.

Your server will be inaccessible for a few moments while the change is processed.

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you select "Format" before installing the version, **your existing data will be wiped** and cannot be recovered. It's always best to take backups before changing server version.
{% endhint %}
